Diane Downs

On May 19th 1983, the three children of Diane Downs were asleep in her car, on a dark, quiet road in Williamette Valley, Oregon. Diane Downs took out a gun and shot all three of her children as they lay sleeping. One of the victims, Cheryl, died. The other daughter, Christie almost died but luckily survived. And the son, Danny, was left paraplegic. In custody Diane claimed it had been a "bushy-haired stranger" who had murdered her children, but this was dismissed as a lie. Dianne was arrested and prosecuted for the murders of her three children.
